Cruise the majestic Sigatoka River and feel the breeze to refresh your mind and the beauty it possesses. The 120 kilometer river is a life line for the Fijian people. As you journey further along the river witness local men and women at farm islands fishing and toiling the land. They rely on it for much of their food: mussels, prawns, eels, fish and water for agriculture and drinking. . Enjoy sightseeing through the Sigatoka Valley for some fabulous views of Fiji’s famous “Salad Bowl” – known for its rich fertile soil and a colorful patchwork of fruit and vegetable crops. Learn the fascinating history of Sigatoka, Fiji as a whole.

0 – 24 hours of departure will incur 100% cancellation fees

24 – 48-hour notice will incur 50% cancellation fees

These combine tour includes free pickup from the resort, straight to 45 minutes’ boat cruise in the sigatoka river. Then onboard the vehicle for 30 minutes sightseeing through the “Salad Bowl” Valley area. Guests will then be taken to primary school visit. Guests could bring gifts if they want to distribute to the kids (voluntary choice). Then to sigatoka village where welcome kava ceremony will be conducted at the community hall, craft demonstration; pottery making, tapa printing and mat weaving. Local women will perform “Meke”, a traditional Fijian dance and in the end guests will be allowed to take part in dancing or photography session.  Guests could bring extra cash if they want to purchase any souvenir items. Lastly, guests will witness coconut scrapping, husking and served with coconut water to drink. Lunch will be served: B.B.Q, eggplant in coconut milk, seasonal fruits, homemade tropical juice. Back to the resort (free drop off).
